Wompatuck State Park, Hingham - 5/17/2012

Wompatuck State Park, Thursday May 17, 6:30 a.m.

Six birders roamed the paths of Wompatuck looking for the next great bird.  Temperatures were in the mid-50's and there was a wind chill making conditions a bit nippy.  With the leaves out so fully, we had to work at getting visuals on most of the birds, and the Cerulean Warbler was deep enough in the woods that only one person got on it just as it flew away.  There were a couple of mystery birds that no one saw long enough  to positively ID.  The following eBird list reflects my own sightings and count, although two or three other birds were seen by others.ebird
