Wompatuck State Park May 3rd 2014

Six members met at 6 am. We spent some time on the loop out to Wildcat Pond and back.

We enjoyed wonderful looks at Ovenbirds and admired the beauty of White-throated Sparrows

Some folks had to split at this point, the rest of us continued to Holly Pond before making our way back to the Visitors Center to prepare for the Family day with the SSNSC. This turned out to be a flop, so our volunteers spent the rest of the morning  - in between drinking coffee and enjoying Muffins (thanks Pat!) - birding near the entrance of the State Park where Towhees and Chipping Sparrows kept us entertained.
